The Health Resources and Services Administration's mission is to improve and expand access to quality health care for all. The Access Agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, HRSA assures the availability of quality health care to low income, uninsured, isolated, vulnerable and special needs populations and meets their unique health care needs.

Centers of Excellence grants assist health professions schools to support programs of excellence in health professions education for minority individuals in allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry and pharmacy and graduate programs in behavioral or mental health (clinical and counseling psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy). COE strengthens the national capacity to train students from minority groups that are under-represented in these health professions and build a more diverse health care workforce.

The mission of the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) is to promote minority health and to lead, coordinate, support, and assess the NIH effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities.

The intent of this Surgeon General’s Report on Oral Health is to alert Americans to the full meaning of oral health and its importance to general health and well-being and ensure that health promotion and disease prevention programs are enhanced. The report proposes solutions that entail partnerships - government agencies and officials, private industry, foundations, consumer groups, health professionals, educators, and researchers - to coordinate and facilitate actions based on a National Oral Health Plan.

The Centre for Evidence-based Dentistry is an independent body whose aim is to promote evidence-based dentistry world-wide. The Centre was formed in early 1995. Following a workshop on Evidence-based Dentistry held at Templeton College, Oxford in December 1994.

A new website targeting dental educators launched by the National Program Office of the Pipeline, Profession and Practice: Community-Based Dental Education (Dental Pipeline) program. This website will serve as the primary source for dental schools seeking to improve oral health care access to vulnerable populations and increase access to dental education for underrepresented minority and low-income students.

This site is the archival site for the conference "Dental Informatics and Dental Research: Making the Connection" that was held on June 12-13, 2003, at the Natcher Conference Center at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, USA. This conference developed strategies on how biomedical informatics can most productively contribute to the resolution of dental research problems. The archival site contains the conference program, all presentation abstracts and presentations, and links to the full conference papers.

An interactive website, providing on-demand education to highlight the importance and connection of oral health to the overall health and well-being of older Americans, as well as to draw attention to the fact that seniors citizens nationwide are facing significant obstacles regarding access to quality oral healthcare. Group rates are available for offices, study groups, residency programs, or faculty who would like to use the site as a teaching resource in dental curricula.

Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is a nonprofit organization that promotes health through partnerships between communities and higher educational institutions. Founded in 1996, it is a growing network of over 1000 communities and campuses.
